Next in my small spaces series – kitchen edition! Read on for some kitchen space saving solutions and some cute editions at the end. I’ve only focussed on Wilko, Ikea, and Argos for this post – so all the suggestions should be pretty affordable.

Let’s go!

I feel like these magnetic knife racks make any kitchen look more legit, even a teeny tiny kitchen like mine. Plus, you save valuable counter space by mounting your sharpest utensils. Find one here for £12. (If anyone knows how to actually mount these onto kitchen tile, hmu)

This ‘space saving solution’ might not be for everyone, but my new kitchen has a hollowed out little ‘bar’ section of the kitchen counter. I think this snazzy trolley would be great to tuck under the counter and keep some spices/ingredients on – or, y’know, gin. Bar cart! Find the white version here for £49.

Snazzy shelf inserts are a great way to maximise cupboard space! I, personally, am gonna use these for my massive mug collection. Plus, I have a really tall boyfriend so I can put these in even the overhead cupboards and he can be in charge of getting the glasses down. Find them here for £3 per insert.

Another internal space saver is this nifty lil’ lid holder thingy. Lids take up so much space – with this they don’t have to! I think this would work for plates as well, but I’m not sure. Find it here for £5.

An extendable table is a must, right? I’m gonna need a dining table so I don’t feel like a maverick and so I can host impromptu dinner parties with all my hundreds of sophisticated pals. The perfect solution when dealing with a tiny space is to have a table which can function as a desk, a personal dinner table, and a dinner table for four. Find this simple version here for £70.

I’ve got open shelving in my new kitchen, so these jute/rattan style baskets will be perfect to hide some of my uglier kitchen items which don’t fit in my cupboards. Find them here for £12 each.

Along with your extendable table, you’re gonna need some chairs which take up very little space. I like these foldable chairs because you can tuck them away when they’re not in use, or hang them on the wall! Find them here for £5 each.

Mmkay, time for pretty things! Chopping boards are integral, duh, so why not buy some aesthetically pleasing ones to stack on your workspace and use as kitchen decor. Find this large version here for £10, and the smaller size here for £5.

I love the blush-pink colour of this storage jar – it’d definitely look pretty on a shelf in a tiny kitchen. Find one here for £3.50

Finally, I found these snazzy gold-rimmed tumblers. Pick up a pack of four here for £5.

That’s your lot! I hope you’ve enjoyed perusing with me, I might do an update post when I’ve moved in and spent all my money on decor – that way I can show you what I actually purchased and how it’s worked in my space.
